This is getting old. I have been using way too much sick leave lately, which i need to be saving for when I have the baby!!!! Wednesday out sick w/migraine, today had to leave early w/a stomach bug (we both have it). Running through the sick leave faster than I earn it, and i don’t have a huge balance to begin with. Hope the next few weeks are better. Don’t want to say ‘return to normal’ b/c i’m afraid this is my normal.

Losing It
Ok, so i just spent about 30 frustrating minutes looking for some paperwork in my house. Can’t find it, I’m thinking I left it at work. Anyway, this is exactly why i want to organize this house. I want to be able to find what I need, when I need it, without wasting time trying to remember where it might/could/should be.
So, after working on the laundry room organizing and shedding, i kind of lost steam. I thought doing a small room was supposed to jump start me in motivation for the larger rooms. I think buying my new desk in a week or two will help, so i can get the office set up again, then continue with the purging in that room.
In other news, sad news came last night, Eric’s school is rescheduling a class the week we are supposed to be on vacation, cutting our vacation down from 3 days at the beach to 2 days. I’m just upset. It is a long drive for just 2 days. And I have a feeling after 2 days we might just ‘crave’ more instead of having that nice sense of renewal from the break at the beach…not sure if we are going to try to sell the week, or just go for the few days and hope it is enough of a break to keep us going until Nov….when we go to the mountains.

July wrap up
July in pictures:
Peyton and his best little friend…
PawPaw visiting
Fireworks, they were a little too loud for Peyton
Peyton riding on his ‘roller’
Lots of swimming in the pool!
And as many naps as possible!!!
But best of all: Finding out that baby#2 is boy#2!
-Eric started his final quarter of school
- I finally stopped having morning sickness, spent lots of time fighting headaches
- After weeks of being sick and neglecting the garden, I finally gave Eric the go ahead to mow it over. The weeds had taken over!!! The garden did great this year though!
- Peyton took swimming lessons and is now swimming like a little fish!

Good week’
this has been a pretty good week. I only had a bad headache once this week, I finished organizing/reorganizing the laundry room, and the house has stayed somewhat clean for the last few days. Nothing too major going on right now. Which is nice. We are eagerly anticipating our vacation in about 2 week to the beach!!!!! Oh I can’t wait. We love the beach.
School is starting around here Monday, so Peyton will be moving back to a different class at daycare, and they won’t be swimming anymore. Which means less laundry for me :)
Trying to get more organized in a few different ways. I’m starting to keep a planner/notebook again. And keep all my lists, bills, calendar, etc in the notebook. Hope it helps me feel like i have it together a little bit more. I actually won some materials from crown bindery (and etsy store) a few weeks ago. I need to take pictures of my system, which is built around her system with a few personal modifications.
Peyton has been playing his v.smile game system a lot lately. He got it for christmas last year, but over the last month or so he has finally figured out how to use it (and not drive us crazy in the process)!

I got a MINI
No, not a mini-cooper and definitely not a mini-skirt!!!
This weekend I got a HP Mini computer.I have been eyeing one for a while, but didn’t really want or need to spend the $300 on one.
Then my dad borrowed one from his friend that runs a local pawn shop while his laptop was being worked on, and I used it, and liked it. Offered them a decent price (saved about $200 off sticker) and they took it. So I have me a new ‘used’ mini that is just as good as new. It was made in Dec 2009, so it is fairly new!
The computer is pretty small, very light, is a bit hard to type on, and has a 10” screen. Some things are hard to view on the small screen, and I’m still trying to get used to typing, but this computer has so many pluses. I can sit in the bed and surf the internet, while still spending time with Eric. I can take it anywhere, it is so light it will easily go in my purse (or suitcase on vacation). So far we are both enjoying it so far. ANd I plan to buy a few movies from itunes to play on it while we are gone on vacation!!!
So, wonder if this new addition to our family will help me update the blog more. Only time will tell.
Baby Steps
Well over the last weekend I spent about an hour or two starting my “SHED” in the laundry room. So far I have a few bags of stuff to sell at the thrift store, and about 5-6 full bags of trash. I still need to spend a few 30 min sessions in there organizing the rest of the stuff, cleaning, and purging the cabinet (Haven’t started on the cabinet yet).
I’ve noticed I can really do a LOT in the 30 min sessions. I just set the timer in the kitchen, and go.
I’m thinking after about 2-3 months of doing this room by room, I’ll finally have a somewhat uncluttered house. However, I think it might take a year in the master bedroom closet!!! But baby steps right???

It's a BOY
I'm still a little shocked.
I just knew it was going to be a little girl.
But I'm still very happy.
And starting to think about names.
And happy that I will be saving tons of money b/c I still have all of Peyton's stuff AND it is a lot easier to not go 'crazy' buying boy stuff verses girl stuff.
Loved seeing my 2nd little man on the screen for about 15 min!!!
Loved every minute of it...
Still on cloud nine and can't wait to meet this little one in January.
A little scared because I have no idea as to how I could possibly grasp the love that I will feel for ANOTHER child.
But excited for this journey we are taking together.

Big Day Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the BIG ultrasound.
So of course that means that I can't seem to get to sleep tonight.
Imagine that.
So I decided to blog some of the feelings I have about the sex of the baby.
Girl - well, obviously we have a little boy, so a girl would be nice. I would LOVE to shop for all the girl things, pick out adorable shoes and outfits, with matching hair bows. I would enjoy doing all the mother-daughter type stuff, and it would be nice to have one of each.
Boy - Peyton is such a sweet little boy, and I would LOVE another little boy. Growing up, I always said I wanted boys. It actually wasn't until I became aunt to two amazing little girls did the want for a little girl to ever cross my mind. And we have everything a little boy would ever need/want. Toys, clothes, more toys, more clothes, etc.
I know that whatever God has blessed us with will be perfect.
So, for my gender determination/guess: Girl. Why??? Because this pregnancy has been so completely opposite from my last. I had morning sickness for weeks and weeks, and I have had horrible migraines for weeks and week (they stopped when I was pg with Peyton). Everything is also starting earlier this time, don't know if it is b/c of the baby or b/c the fact that this is my 2nd pregnancy, but the heart burn, back aches, etc have already started.
Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will know what my little baby is, and maybe even have a name for him/her. (We have names for a boy, girl, not so much).

Migraine central
The last one. I pray this let's up and that I don't fight daily migraines or bad headaches for the whole pregnancy.
On a positive note: I cooked dinner today.
Negative: I didn't get the things I wanted to accomplish over the weekend done. Didn't SHED the laundry room, put up the desk in the dining room or go to church today.
I've been in bed most of the weekend, sigh.
Here's to a better week next week.
