Baby Fever

Ok.  Baby Fever has hit and is in full force.  I have been dealing with bouts of baby fever every few months – but this last time, it just isn’t going away.  I think it is because I finally decided that I’m NOT going to be getting another shot in Feb/March and that we are just going to let whatever happens happen.  I know that my doctor advised not to try until my tumor has been in remission for 2 years, and I really want to listen to his advice, but I’m going crazy here.  I do NOT want my kids to be 5 years apart – AND it took almost a year to get pregnant the last time, so that could very well happen again.  I’m going to be trusting in God and he will let me get pregnant if that is what is in his will at that time.  So – I’m not going to stress this anymore.  I hope that I get pg sometime this summer so that I have a early spring baby, but we all know that our plans don’t always occur as we would like them to.  So, I’m just going to go with the flow.  Of course, now that I have decided to NOT get the next shot, my baby fever kicked in BIG TIME.  Only issue that I stress is having 2 kids in daycare for about a year, which is very expensive, but hopefully we can manage it.

Another reason why I really want to go ahead and do this, is what if we do decide to have a 3rd baby.  At this point, I think we have decided that 2 will be enough, but if we change our minds, I would still like to be under 33 when having the 3rd.  My goal used to be that I wanted to be through having kids by 30, but that isn’t going to happen.

Now that I have made up my mind – I have to set some goals.  Well, really ONE major goal.  To lose 20-25 lbs before getting pregnant.  I don’t want to be over 200 lbs this time, so if I lose that much, I should be in a good weight range to where I can gain a decent amount of weight and not go over.

I can so relate to this post... I can't have babies again EVER... however, it still doesn't help when you get that urge to have another one, does it? Sigh. Oh, well.... again, I'll live through you on this one! I'll keep you in my prayers that things will happen in the order they should for you to be safe, happy and healthy!!

I can't believe I found someone else going through the same motions as I am! This damn tumor has changed so much of my life. On one hand I am just so thankful it was benign and didn't need chemo and will be here to watch my daughter grow but why the heck do we have ot have such a high recurrence rate, especially during or after pregnancy!! I too always thought i would have 3 kids all by 30 and i was on a roll until this damn tumor came. My kids will be 5 years apart if we get pregnant this summer and i am fine with that. All I ask for is one healthy baby and no more tumors!!

I go to my Orth-Oncologist in Feburary. I am telling him our plans to start trying over the summer. I will let you know what he says. What does your Dr say exactly? If you would like you can email me at MYGIRLJULIA10@AOL.COM.

GOOD LUCK!!

I just showed my husband your post and he says good luck to you. He thinks I am being way too cautious and he says there is such little research on this tumor what makes them think pregnancy causes it!!
